|KenRK||Fortunately we have quite a good number of tracks within a few hours of the Chicago area: Autobahn, Blackhawk Farms, Road America, Gingerman, Grattan & Putnam. Unfortunately, with the exception of Grattan most lack elevation change...|

|Crazy05||Thanks for the write-up, looked like a fun trip. I have been contemplating moving to Illinois so you have made me aware that Illinois has some tracks such as the Autobahn. Looks like there are actually a few tracks up near Chicago.|

|KenRK||Hey, Dave. Was nice to meet you at MidO, agreed that it would have been fun to have more Lotus to play with at the track but was a ton of fun regardless, one of my favorite old school tracks. Didn’t realize you were staying in Naperville for your Autobahn Country Club event, practically my back yard. Glad you made it back safe and sound. Nice write up.|

Mid Ohio trip
This year's track day road trip was based around a two day event with Chin Motorsports at Mid Ohio. I signed up almost as soon as registration opened. I checked the roster periodically looking for other Lotus drivers. At one point, it was me and 4 or 5 Exiges including a familiar name: Eldon Z. We messaged back and forth a bit and I was looking forward to meeting him. Sadly, he and most of the other Lotus entries canceled. Maybe next time.
Here's the whole story, all 3,185 miles of it, including dead camera batteries, dead phone batteries, dead birds, and a dead president:
Days 1 and 2: Denver, CO to Mansfield, OH
Days 3 and 4: Mid Ohio Track Days
Day 5: Toledo, OH to Naperville, IL
Day 6: Autobahn Track Day
Day 7: Chicago
Days 8 and 9: Naperville, IL to Denver, CO
