ealseal12 Referring to Dave,
Do you have a pic of your car tied down? I just purchased a trailer similar to yours and have not obtained tie downs yet. PS...I'm going to steal your interior color scheme and where did you get the large decals?

philethier Crappiest looking trailer I could find. Not interested in getting up the hopes of the wrong sort of folks when I'm on the road.

Pace American 20' Somebody put in a triple floor. Makes it heavy, but anchors the E-track well.

Rewired it. It's the first trailer I have ever been associated with that has given me NO electrical problems (furiously knocking on wood).

perryeyges I always back my Elise on for tongue weight.
I have a custom built 911 race car trailer. It is a little overbuilt but it works fine. Sorry, no pics.

Nice Volvo, is that an R? I just lost mine in a flood, unfortunately, and have been looking for a replacement.

Lost 2 toys in the garage as well (no pics, too traumatic), but insurance came through - for the most part - and I expect to have a new supercharged Elise parked back there very shortly. This one will be on a garage lift so even if the river rises 20+ feet again all will be OK!

By the way,

lotusfan2 mlk_f1, that's a similar setup I'm looking for. What trailer is that?
10-08-2007 11:33 AM
mlk_f1 Here is my modest single axle 12 footer rated at 3500lbs capacity. Trailer is about 1000lbs and Elise 1900lbs. It gets the job done.

The Volvo is rated at 3200 lbs, so at 2k, I'm nowhere near the limit.

lotusfan2 fins0619,

Understood. I don't want to put more than about 350 lbs on the hitch receiver if I can help it.

fins0619 Cant imagine why it wouldnt, but you would defintely be tail heavy, unless you loaded engine facing forward.

Does the Elise fit on the 14' version of your Featherlite trailer you think? Also, how much is the tongue wait with the Elise parked on it, do you know?
