I cannot stop looking at these pictures. It literally looks like an alien spaceship. So rad.

Love the 720S, hard to believe the performance that thing is capable of. Just watch some drag races of it versus the Challenger Demon, and the 720S isn't even designed for that!

Yep, there is a pretty strong connection. Peter Stevens was designer for both the Esprit model update and the McLaren F1.

Interestingly those were fierce competitors on the racetrack in the mid-90's. The <$100k Esprit proved it had the speed and handling to beat the $1m F1 along with Porsche's, Ferrari's, etc. The F1 of course was ultimately more successful in that venue but I can't help but think if the Esprit had been given the same level of support (ie $$$) it might have come out ahead.

My son can dunk there. I could have 50 years ago.

Good to see McLaren F1 making headway these days.
Saw this beauty at Road America historic CanAm last year. Perfect colors, nice match for the 720S 🙂
