Purchased on ebay from Okla City cop in June, '13; $33k and <8000 miles, no damage anywhere. Later, I had misfire (computer said #3, but it was #2, and that wasn't the only mistake the computer made. Took it to phoenix tuner who put custom 3" turbo in my '03 Honda s2000, because I wanted to swap if possible. The big problem was nobody had done it commercially except in UK, with the FI engine. There were Innovative parts available, but not without problems: Chris (tuner) had to modify one mount and completely refabricate another. It took just over a year (and >$10k), but I am tickled with the critical variable--performance/fit/finish. Not only much faster, but now has cc, so I should be able to avoid tickets (?).
2007 Lotus elise (red)
Have done nothing to the interior. This car was literally top prize in Yoko sweepstakes (1 in US, 1 in Japan), and so has both elise/exige options: alpine stereo, ac, front oil cooler (REALLY a pain for engine swap), roof,... They had foresight to avoid fi: 'be a bummer to have the prize winner get in an accident.
Not counting the wheels/tires, this is the only real exterior mod so far; sure looks good. Second pic is of new forged rims (15x6, 16x7) with street tires; there is second set with exige spec track tires: yoko with mileage index like 40; they literally evaporate. The tires shown are michellin; I think their index is like 200.
apine stereo. I'm confident it sounds good, but I rarely get to hear it because the engine's almost never off.
