Hey folks,

I'm a recent lotus noob, and I did my first oil change yesterday (and put some rubber padding on the coolant U tube, hooray! It was already knicked up - thanks so much to LT for this tip).

I was under the engine familiarizing myself with the car's innards, and I noticed that near the passenger side of the car, there is a rubber hose that is ziptied to the side of the car. It points downwards, and isn't connected to anything. I tried to trace the hose up to see where it went - it feels/looks like it goes up towards the rear EGR port on the intake, but I can't be 100% sure - I don't think it's actually the egr pipe. It's just a rubber hose about 0.75 inches in diameter.

Can anybody tell me what this hose is, what it does, and if it's ok that it's just completely open and disconnected? I did a search but couldn't find anything conclusive....
Are you sure that isn't the overflow hose for the fuel filler neck?
