The car unfortunatly is not mine it is a customer car. I work for an independent shop in Charlotte Nc and we are begining to see more of the lotus elise esprites and even an exige has come threw. I was hoping to find the entire wiring diagram for a 2011 elise with the 2zz engine since I'm seeing the cars more and more often, I have the 05 elise diagram from BOE but things seem to have changed a bit from 05 to '11. It's a long story but to sum it up this car showed up with nostart would turn over though. The alarm telltale light seemed to be responding to the key and disarming as if ready for start up but still no start just turning over. I did as much research online as I could and found the diagram for the immobilizer and was able to figure that the fuel pump and ignition circuit were "opened" by the immobilizer. When I jumped the circuits the car came to life but had Nothing from the instrument cluster. At that point I was stuck felt like it was the immobilizer but with no instrument was comfortable to condem fully. We sent car out to Lotus dealer as it still had warranty they worked on it for about 1 month and in their work found that the oil pan was changed they voided warranty and washed their hands of the car buttoned it uo and sent it back. Thats where I am trying to find more info on the car, I know I can fix it if I get all the valid info in front of me. I greatly appreciate the responses and helpfull information.

they are different wiring schemes - they have to be in part because 2005's are dbc, and 2006 and up are dbw. Other differences exist too.

It may be two separate issues. The instrument clusters on the 2011s are known to go bad. Not sure about the immobilizers, but I have had to change the battery in my key twice already.

And wow at the dealership voiding warranty due to a new oil pan. For an electrical problem, I don't think they're actually allowed to do that...

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that under the law in order to void a warranty claim, the modification must be the cause of the problem that leads to the claim. But, I imagine that they'd probably put up a good fight.

That is awesome exactly the kind of lead I was looking for. Thank you thank you Turblow. Have you ever used the site? I'm just wondering how thorough the my11 elise info would be.
If it is anything like what I got for my '06, it is everything. And I got lucky and had a friend give me all the pdf's. I believe he paid the $25 to get his copy. For reference, the zip with all the pdf's is 75mb. The included wiring diagrams are complete. I was absolutely ready to give over my $25, fwiw.

Just a quick update my immobilizer issue was a fuse with resistance lowering the voltage to the immobilizer. The fuse showed 12v when probed at the top but when you read the output at the immobilizer it only had 5v pulled the fuse to find one leg was black with some sort of oxidation. Still no instruments and now when engine started it ran poorly either it was missing 2 injectors or 2 ignition coils, if you played with the ecu connectors things would change instruments worked engine wouldnt run or fuel would display engine would run but misfiring. Replaced all pins in both ECU connectors car runs and drives. Take from that what you will, happy lotusing!
