What does every one think of the 08 colors?
My racing green is gone. Guess I wont be getting a new 08.
I love my racing green 06, so I wouldn’t get a new one any way.
But I was just on the Lotus USA site poking around and was a little surprised at the new color set up.

Well I was just wondering if any one had seen any of the new colors and what the thought out there where.

For a company whose primary focus is on performance via lightweight, they sure have a lot of expensive higher spec colors. ;)

I'm just glad Canyon Red is still available as a metallic color.

Because Lotus is having a mild identity crisis. They are trying to cater to those that they would call, "lifestyle buyers" with the Elise Californias and $5000 color options. :p

But I always thought one of the best things about these cars is the color choices. Cars that only use sedate, boring colors are just really boring. See any Spyker and you will understand.

I was actually kidding but I think it's a good way to get a little more profit -especially if/when dealers start ordering the more expensive colors for their own floor inventory. So, either you place your custom order and wait 12 weeks or give in to the temptation of driving a higher spec paint color home today. :)

And at least it's a mild identity crisis and they're not adding DVD players or chrome wheels as an option. ;)

In 2007, Lotus offered a promotion that included the Navigation/DVD player as standard in their cars. I know, because I have a Lotus with a indash DVD player.

When I was in Vegas, another ET'r had it in his car as well, and was playing Jenna Jameson porn, as we were driving down the strip.

Hey Kevin

I was just on the Lotus website and it shows Racing Green as a "standard" color, along with Ardent Red. Its the Saffron Yellow thats gone.

This is the candy red from the lotus website. I don't think this one counts though.. pretty sure this car is CG.
(Check out those semi-bumpers on the rear view pic.)

As far as the "bumperettes" I've seen em in person before, not bad but a panel elim kit should solve that hehe

The standard color is British Racing Green, not Racing Green.
RG is metallic, BRG is not. RG is also a bit darker.

However there is now Exclusive Paint, one of the 2 Exclusive Paint colors is Prism Green. Any one seen this color in person?
The other is Moonstone Silver.

The paint color list is
1) Standard, 2 colors
2) Metallic, 7 colors +$975
3) Lifestyle, 6 colors +$1,675
4) Limited, 3 colors +$3,700
5) Exclusive, 2 colors +$5,700

My Bad,
I had no idea that Racing Green and British Racing Green where different. I don't think I've seen the BRG in person.

I remember I saw your RG Elise at the Motor4Toys event back in December, and that looked really nice in person. Much better than how if photographs. :D
