In the never ending quest for more power one of my friends is upgrading his '08 Elise SC to the BOE400 kit.

Today was teardown day.

Record time - 2hrs had the rear end removed

Ready to tear down the stock SC system.

Installing the BOE400 kit and fuel surge tank.

Lucky for us we have access to the developer of the Fastworks system.
He's going to use this as a testing ground for the '08 ECU flash.

Hopefully this will give him what he needs to get everything working so the flash can come to market.

Stay tuned!!

I HATE to see this go back together with the stock exhaust.

One thing I like about the turbo systems is you get a fully matched exhaust and
intake in one package (assuming the kit has been properly built).
Not meant as a slam (you SC guys are too easy sometimes) just an observation. I know you can add it on but it would be nicer if it was an integrated part instead of an add-on.

Tear down day.

Got another Lotus lined up for the factory SC when it comes out so we'll have a re-install and a Fastworks tune to put into that.

Spring is coming!!

REV 400 has a matched itg intake as part of the kit - but sure - a real mani, de-cat, and exhaust..absolutely.. I have a BOE ST5, but i sure could use a real manifold and de-cat. You might have some issues, not sure there has ever been a rev400 car w/stock exhaust. Pretty sure it is highly "not recommended"

I doubt the exhaust will do anything but restrict flow, which reduces power.
There is no mechanical problem that I am aware of.
Just seems incomplete to me.
C'est la vie!

In the first photo of post 1 it almost looks like the BBQ in the background is attached to the engine and it's the supercharger.;)

Well, it's a cool build and of interest to me because it is really similar to mine - i bet we hit the same power levels. The only two differences i see are the Fastworks tune (+ for you, i am still on Koldfire) and the stock exhaust ( + for me because I have the BOE ST5 exhaust..) So I'm all ears for the final dyno.

Looking forward to your success. Spring is coming and hopefully Fastworks for black dash cars. :nanner:

What tune do you plan to use? It is my understanding that BOE does not have a tune for 08+ cars.
You missed the part where I have access to the designer of the Fastworks system and he's testing on this car.

We have the car tuned but he is not yet able to tune throught the ODB2 port so we used the BDM. The tune works perfectly, the car is a monster to drive (in a good way). I think he's still fighting with the ODB2 so availability is not yet there.
