I noticed a page in the service booklet that came with my MY2011 Evora that said that the 1000 mile initial service was free at the dealership. Has anyone seen that? And, better yet, has anyone successfully taken advantage of the free service?!?

Thanks,

RWBuck

my dealer will do the complementary service for the low price of $450

I was told they do not do that anymore. Ended up doing it myself. basically an oil change and a ECU dump.
I did let them do the ECU dump while working on my cruise control. They did not charge me for that.

I was told it was a misprint in the U.S. owner's manual, and that it only applied to cars sold in the UK.

No Not free.

I did the 1000 mile oil/filter change myself. The dealer said it was ok to do it myself As as far as warranty issues were concerned. There is a post on how to perform this service by yourself on here. Just search for it and you'll find out how to do it. :shift:

Thanks for all the info! I got a note from Lotus Cars USA and they said that it was only for UK cars. Very nice guys and responded very promptly to my query.
