Wow - we had a fun meet up and drive to the beach today. Saw a lot of nice cars and met a lot of nice people!

I'm sure lots of us will be posting picutres; here's a few of mine.

First we met up at a resturaunt. 10 Elise, an Elan, and two Esprit's showed up. Also got to put some faces to some of the elisetalk user handles. Then we drove up into the hills, pitted to take some quick photos, then we drove some awesome windy roads out to CA Highway 1. Then down the coast 7 miles to take photos at the beach infront of the crashing waves.

It's almost time to prep for the trick-o-treaters...

Most FUN today!!! Wonderful to finally meet and associate faces with the "names" on ETalk...

What a wonderful turn out on such short notice.

Thanks MW for the idea, MattG & LarryB for organizing and getting reservations.

The roads were perfect for a nice fall run. Some, but not too much traffic and some very polite folks that pulled over and let us by.

There were LOTS of cameras... but here's a few I managed to snap.

Met up in San Mateo for lunch. The beach was called 'pescadero' I think. Then back through La Honda & Woodside.

So cool to start see so many Elises at meets.

wow! what city did you guys meet in?

We met in San Mateo near Hwy 101 & 92. We then drove west on 92 and turned left on Skyline (Hwy 35). We followed that along the top of the coastal mountains thru the redwoods and then went right at Hwy 84 and headed down to the coast thru La Honda. The group then turned left on Hwy 1 and pulled into Pescadero State Beach where the pixs with the ocean in the background were taken.

We returned via Pescadero Rd and back to Hwy 84 and followed it to Woodside where everyone went in their own direction.

There's a lot of great driving roads along the SF peninsula. You have to be a bit careful on the weekends. There's quite a few cops, motorcycles and bicyclists. On the way down the hill to Woodside we were reminded of the dangers by a couple of CHP parked on the side of the road assisting a biker who had gone down and done some pretty hard damage to their ride.

It was amazing to see ten Elises all in the same parking lot. I remember many years ago, wondering if the Elise was ever going to get here. I guess these pictures are the answer. They are here!

We managed to get eight in a row and later nine. It was tough getting all ten together in a picture because of all the attention the cars were getting.

There is an M100 Elan in the middle.

I managed to follow four yellow Elises along on the freeway, and up through the hills. I was an amazing sight. Unfortunately, the pictures were taken into the sun and so were full of flares.

If it is nightfall can someone please tell me if that color has any purple tones in it or not.

The trip to the beach was accomplished by five of the ten Elises. Kiyoshi found a good spot and we took pictures of the cars against a backdrop of crashing waves. Thanks to Kiyoshi, MattG, and others for organizing and to Lillie for giving us an excuse to gather.

Who belongs to the red elise? I had a humorous conversation with MW last night.

"What red elise? There was no red elise!
"It's right there in the photos sweetie"
"Oh, you're confusing it with the red Esprit."
"Oh, Is that even possible? It was hiding between the red whatever and the red Esprit on the far side of the white Esprit."
"no it wasn't."

I gave up at that point. Lbonham tracks the elusive white elise and I'm halucinating on red. What a wonderful world we live it.
