JUST BOUGHT 1974 LOTUS ELITE, NEED HELP PLZ!

Just bought a very well preserved Elite; my tire/wheel guy Cannot find the bolt pattern or original specs as I would like to change the wheels out for something sportier, any idea; he said we may need to have some adapters made which of course will get costly but if we had a starting point...the car is not here yet otherwise we would know, car coming to Atlanta, thanks, Dogdoc:(

I would first try the "usual suspects" (r.d. enterprises ltd. Home Page, Dave Bean Engineering, Inc. The Official Vintage Lotus Car Parts Distributor, Sports Car World, or JAE - Vintage and late model Lotus car parts specialists). After that, I might try wheel manufacturers that are from the UK. I have Compomotive wheels on my Europa that I like. They have a US dealer (fifteen52.us |, and one in Canada (Four Star Motorsports: Compomotive Motorsport Wheels). Or you might want to check with them in the UK (Compomotive Motorsport Wheels)to see if there is a closer dealer.

Obviously, there are other Brit wheel manufacturers you might want to try like Revolution. Hopefully this will give you a start!

Good luck!

Make sure you post pictures of what you get! :)

I found this from a Google search:

4 x 114.3 (4 1/2″) bolt pattern.
