I believe you're seeing some adhesive (not weld) applied to the bolt as others have easily removed the nuts from there. My seats need to be redone. I took a quick look where they bolt in (thinking of putting in my sparco evo 2's while waiting) and noticed it looks like the bolt is welded? [snip]
It's the bolt inside the car. I had no idea they were removed from the bottom... Will check out the bottom and see if I can get the sparco's in temporarily while the stock get recovered...I believe you're seeing some adhesive (not weld) applied to the bolt as others have easily removed the nuts from there.
I'm using the Sparco Evo seat in my V8 for track use (better support). In case it's helpful there is a posting on my setup here: http://www.lotustalk.com/forums/1829404-post10.htmlIt's the bolt inside the car. I had no idea they were removed from the bottom... Maybe you could have one seat done at a time. Just swap seat positions so you can still drive it while the other one is being restored.Seats came out easy peasy, but the Sparco Evo 2's didn't fit. Imagine that. Front is too wide.
Sparco has several seats in the Evo line for different size occupants. I don't recall off the top of my head which one I selected but I'm sure it is indicated in the thread I pointed to earlier. Did you select the same size and it doesn't fit (due to the earlier car being narrower) or did you select a different wider one and it doesn't fit because the seat is wider (but the space is the same)? There is a detailed seat sizing chart on the Sparco web site with all the dimensions of all the different seats indicated.Seats came out easy peasy, but the Sparco Evo 2's didn't fit. Imagine that. Thanks. I plan to stick with tan.I've got a couple of seats in very good condition about that year, black with red pleated leather, if your intrested please PM me and I'll send you some pictures. You will need to use your existing seat rails.

I have a pair of Sparco Evo 2 Plus for my other car and I took the seat out of the Esprit and got the Sparco in, but the front end is too wide and the rails won't go down to the floor to bolt down.Sparco has several seats in the Evo line for different size occupants.
