I remember seeing them race. Fast as stink but a little fragile if I remember correctly.

Beautifully prepared cars.

Was this one of the 3 or 4 owned by the guy in Maryland who vintage raced them? I know he had at least one for sale.

I have that car and the #10 car as 1/32 scale slot cars.

I bet they handle better than the other slot cars! :evil:



Until the organizers make you add weight to slow you down (which happened to the REAL Esprit racers) :(

The 1990 Lotus Esprit Turbo X180R #12 was up for auction at Russo and Steele Monterey 08/16/14.

It sold for $80K; my impression is the reserve was higher than that but was removed.
I think 80k is a healthy selling price. A few years ago, an X180R in Phoenix sold for around 50-55k on ebay.

The Russo and Steele Monterey 2014 1990 X180R is a race car.

The eBay 2011 1991 X180R is a street car - the pricing is hard to compare in that respect.
