Okay, so what's the trick to get this glove box out so I can look at a problem with my heater controls. I've got the 5 screws out and it moves around a bit but I can't figure out how to remove it, there doesn't seem to be enough room. I'd appreciate any advice from someone who's done this. Thanks!

Think it would come out the top if you took the glovebox door off? If that doesn't work, I seem to recall some ductwork for the ventilation system in that area. You might need to disconnect one end of a hose to allow more space to move the glovebox.

Thanks Mike. It definitely wouldn't come out the top but after using quite a bit of force and some twisting I was able to push part of it back so that half the glove box was removed. This gave me enough room to look at the heater cam where I had to adjust the small white vacuum tabs so that the cam would fully actuate them. Who would have thought that removing a glove box could be so difficult. Only in a Lotus...
