Have brake calipers torn apart with old pads out. The "plunger" is sticking too far out for new pads to fit in. Instead of a groove to wind "plunger" back in, there are two holes about and inch apart. What technique have people used to get plunger back in using these two holes (special tool??), or is there some other technique to get plunger in.

Thanx

I had the same thing on my XF Jag, and I could not get it in with needle nose pliers no matter how hard I pushed. Fortunately, the local O'Reilly's part store loans the right tool for free (deposit required). That made quick work of those pistons.
