I own a 2005 Elise. Such a beautiful car. I keep it on a battery tender when parked. I recently installed a new battery. After starting it after battery installation, it started up just fine although the amber check engine light stays on constantly. My mechanic was unable to reset it but got a error code. Can’t quite remember what it was.........maybe 601 or 610 ? I could be off. Any suggestions?
Thanks !

My guess is: P0630 VIN Not Programmed or Incompatible – ECU

You'll need to recall the actual code to get help resolving...

This is most likely what it is, and it will have to have the vin programmed back in by someone with the lotus scan tool or a dealer.
