I've already read a ton of threads - some final advice would be appreciated.

Just bought a 2005 LSS Elise w/ 7k miles - original wheels on front/back (A048), fronts appear fine, backs are shot. Thinking I should replace both just for the age factor on the fronts (8+ years I assume? can't find an age on the A048 for some reason).

I might do one track day a year for kicks, but prefer to get something that works well in Colorado winter/summer, mostly around town. Won't see any rain or snow, but would like to take it out on sunny cold days (we get a lot of those).

Dunlop ZII seems to be most recommended as a replacement, but I wanted to confirm that these won't rub at the non-standard size? I saw one thread where rubbing was reported on the 205/235 setup. Any inputs, or some other tire I somehow missed? Saw the Toyo R1R mentioned, but ZII seemed more popular.

Leaning towards the Dunlop ZII for now - from the posts I've read, spirited driving causes them to rub, but daily driving is alright. I'd really like to avoid rubbing if at all possible, but options sound pretty limited.

Really tough to wade through all the threads on tires, so many various reports.

I'd be fine with doing the R888, but plan on using the car in 35-45 range when it's one of those brisk sunny Colorado days, and doesn't sound like they are very much fun down there.
