2005 Lotus Elise (Storm Titanium)
Sport package
Touring package
Starshield
41k miles
Clean Carfax/ no accidents
PM for vin#/ title in hand
I also have the dated receipts for all of the aftermarket parts and service over the last 2 years ( owned the car less than 4k miles)
$27,000
Email- [email protected] / PM is also fine
Located in Columbus OHIO

Why am I selling?
Intended to make this my Solo autocross car, and after two seasons (2012,2013 OVR SCCA class championship in SSP/2013 Great lakes division SSP champion) the Elise does not mesh well with my driving style. Most importantly, it can never be competitive at pro solo and national events (due to class, or extensive modifications). I’m looking at going with a Porsche GT3 as the replacement. Also, my wife’s Evo X MR was faster around the course, so a change must be made haha.

The car has been taken care of extremely well, and as you can see, I have purchased everything to address all of the normal Lotus problems. I still cannot get over the poor shifting quality of these cars, even after purchasing almost every modification possible to make it better. Vehicle purchased with only the rear muffler and powder coated wheels, everything else I installed. No track time at all, only 20 autocross events on the car so less than one day of track time if you compared the amount of time spent on a 60 second course. Feel free to pull up our region website The Ohio Valley Region of the SCCA to confirm these claims. Also the car has never had a pair of slicks on it (bought them and never needed to run them / free with sale.

The below mods have less than 3k miles (dated receipts for everything)
Moto Build Racing front splitter/ custom extension – it’s a cone deflector to protect the front clam, so it is not show quality (can be easily unbolted)
HKS intake/new filter (50 miles on it)
Hawk HP+ pads 75%
Motul RBF600 fluid
New spark plugs
Monkey wrench racing Trans fluid mix
Clutch pedal stop mod
K&N large oil filter/Redline 5w40
Sector 111 trunk organizer
Sector 111 dog bone engine prop
Sector 111 V harness bar and hardware
Sector 111 shifter reinforcement
Sector 111/Power flex motor mount inserts (this transfers engine vibration into the cabin)aka the rear view mirror does show vibration, these can be pulled out, as they are only inserts
Sector 111 seat grommet inserts (driver and passenger)
3 core radiator all aluminum ( I believe pro-RAD but not sure)
Schroth ASM 2 Harness (x2) 2016 expiration I believe
SSC shifter cable & cross gate cable
Jim Clayton Heavy shift knob
BOE fabrication toe links
Exiege Wing
Center console painted black
Rear diffuser painted black
Wheel stud conversion
Reviere Dry carbon exiege scoops
Top Speed Pro 1 exhaust
Blackwatch racing rear panel delete
blackwatch key/ extra key uncut
Powder coated LSS wheels (no chips or damage)
Kodiak Racing 3 piece wheels ( with asking price)
Tinted windows and windshield
All clear bra’s in good shape, one tiny blemish on front (very hard to notice)
Stereo- very nice head unit with blue tooth, XM,IPod connect etc.
Weathershield cover
Headlight HID conversion

Oil line recall completed on 12/10/13 both the oil coolers and oil lines were replaced

Fully updated resistor motor kit installed at the same time, so no worries for the new owner

I have the following stock parts that are free with the car
Airbox with all parts / bolts etc.
Rear panel
Shifter/ cross gate cables
Rear intake scoops
Foam trunk panel
Extra brake pads (stock ?)

• The A/C is not blowing cold, it has been recharged during the resistor replacement, the light comes on, and the compressor engages, so I believe it must be the clutch. Easy fix, but the dealer (MAG Lotus of Columbus) rubbed me the wrong way with their handling of my work, so I did not want them to work on the car any further.
• I had both side skirts refinished after the 2013 season due to a small cracks (size of ping pong ball), and a tone of rock chips from the previous owner. I would be more than happy to provide pictures of before, during, and after if anyone really needs them.

Appriciate your honesty on SCCA classing.

I suggest you take your A/C clutch problem to the Toyota dealer. Others will advise if I am wrong about that equipment being Toyota spec.

If the compressor clutch engages without making "slipping" noises then it is doing it's job. Go back to the beginning, check refrigerant by weight. If that really is o.k. then check pressures and function of other components. See an a/c specialist interested in working on your car.

Thanks / I am the worker chief for the OVR region, we run a tight ship and don’t allow “ creative interpretation” of classing within the region

I appreciate your time in troubleshooting and will work on getting it fixed if the buyer would rather me fix it than work it into the price, It should be fairly simple to repair in my experience .

This looks like a hell of a lot of car for the money. GLWS.
Thank you , I really wanted to price it fair and not part it out and sell it as “never autocrossed” , I would much rather it go to someone who really wants to drive it how it should be.

Also, I may have missed it but what suspension setup (coils?, sways, etc.) is the car running...still the stock sport pack?

Thanks!
Stock LSS and Stock bar / I wanted to learn the car before messing with suspension setup

Blah blah "for sale" not for discussion, hope your sale goes well as it looks like great value, but curious did you do the LETSLA shifter mod as you said you did almost every one? I feel the largest drawback of the elise is the shifter.. Just curious thanks-

Question about the exige wing.....did you adjust the angle on it or mount it as is? The reason I ask is because the angle for the exige does not work for the elise. since you do SCCA i assume you did this for function not asthetics.

bump for a semi local elise. do you attend the columbus cars and coffee?

While the car looks great "in action" you probably would be better off with some static detailed shots in a FS thread. I am looking for an Exige or Elise in this price and year range, but would prefer to see better shots of interior, exterior and modifications before wasting my time and yours with a phone call or email to discuss the car in depth.

Thank you for all of the PM's and email's , I have tried to respond as quickly as possible to everyone seriously interested. Multiple appointments to see the car are scheduled for next week. I am not holding this for anyone, first to come out and pay for it drives it home. No exceptions !

The LETSLA is the only thing left to do/ I have done the shifter gate reinforcement, heavy shift knob, Simply Sports Car (SSC) shifter and cross gate cable replacements. I honestly determined at the middle of the season to sell the car at the end of the year, so there was no drive to further upgrade.

I did adjust the angle of the Exige wing, but it was really for asthetic reasons, the car didn't look right to me without one. I intended to go with the clam mounted APR wing, but once I decided to sell the car, the exige wing was just left on.

I have only been to cars and coffee a handful of times (usually have autocross at the time they are going on). Thanks for the bump !

While I appreciate your input, I assume anyone seriously interested would contact me directly and ask for specific pictures or information. I personally took a flight to Atlanta to pick this car up on a members word and description, and based on cell phone pictures. I posted any flaws I could think of with the car, the paint has just been buffed out, but as most people know, with any silver car you need to be face to face to see any type of imperfections.

I have responded to all of the email and PM interested parties, if you have not recieved a response please contact me again. Based on numerous questions, I will sell the car without the extra Kodiak wheels and tires for $27,500. I will not remove parts to drop the price !

There is no clam damage front or rear/ no cracks
behind one of the side intake scoops (where the side skirt line meets the rear clam) there is a small crack 3/16 in size which i'm working on posting a picture of ASAP. It is not noticable due to how close it comes to the actual body line.

If the car does not sell by next friday it's going back into storage until spring; final price update, I'm willing to take 27k without the Kodiak wheels, I have an interested party willing to buy them in the next week. weather looks good for the next week (test drives at my discretion).
Thank you,
Andrew
