2006 Lotus Sport Elise - Supercharged - Texas

Miles: 4,224
VIN: SCCPC11106HL32872

The car was purchased new by the owner. It has been stored and looked after by a professional motorsports team and will be available for PPI at their facility in Cresson Texas.

I do not have a complete parts list as it was misplaced after a few recent moves. We are certain of the supercharger kit (Greedy/Katana), exhaust, and Ethos wheels but there may very well be more. The work and setup was completed by @shinoo at Sector 111 / InoKinetic. My hope is that he may recall the car and will be able to speak to some of the additional parts installed. The only issue is a non functional A/C system. The components are working but refrigerant has leaked while in storage. Two sets of additional factory wheels with tires are included with purchase. If you would like more detailed images please let me know and I can provide a gallery for viewing.

We are now asking 55k usd but are open to offers

Please PM if you have any questions or if you wish to make an offer.

Thanks

GLWS!
Let's see some more interior and engine bay pictures! Is it a factory SC?

@MConte05 I think there are some limitations in terms of commentary in for sale posts. Unsure what your intent is with the "lol" but likely on the line there in terms of moderator rules.

I am always open to offers if someone is a serious buyer and felt pricing is out of line.
This thing looks great! Are all the miles track miles? As we approach the triple digit temperatures this time of year, it may help the seller if the AC system was charged and working - simple fix and will make all the difference in comfort while test driving in this heat! Hope the buyer gets to keep those classic Texas plates 😁

The car was driven on the street and track. I am unsure how many miles for each.

I agree with you about the a/c functionality, but given the storage location and some access challenges I don’t think it will be repaired before sale.
The car is still available. I am open to offers and happy to try and address any additional questions from potential buyers. I would prefer to avoid one of the auction sites but it may end up there given what a very similar higher mileage example sold for recently.

I would do it before this bubbles bursts. Used car sales are down 15% (non-exotic). Chip shortages are ending. But with the Delta variant ramping up it could throw buyers into another cycle of holding onto money in anticipation of another lock down. I believe LA is already on their way. (but who the hell knows) I want to see this car sell! It's a great example at a strong price. Wish that AC was fixed already! I think that would help it here and on auction sites alike.

Yep, I'm coaching friends and family to reconsider the urgency of a purchasing a vehicle right this minute. Prices are not aligning with inventories I've looked into, so it's only a matter of time.

Anybody buying a car in this market and factoring in potentially favorable resale value... well, you've been warned.

Aside from the current bubble, I think the Elige has established a new price. Even before the pandemic the prices were on the rise. People have realized that simple, light and raw cars like the Elige are a thing of the past. No other car will ever be made like the Elige. Those days of buying an Elise for $30k are long over. They will just keep climbing in price.

BUT...on the flip side...what is a year of memories worth? So you put off buying an elise (which is still not a very expensive car at 50-60k in the market today)......in hopes of what? Some economic slow down...at some time down the road?. So the fed has said they are not adjusting interest rates until end of 2023 (which is the biggest driver of the economy)..but no one knows really IF and when the dip will be.

So all this waiting for what?....in hopes the market goes down 10-15k?. How many years do you put this off in those hopes, and what is your enjoyment worth.

I know for me the wait is not worth it. I have a 14 year old son and we are going to get out on the track. Should I have said....well...we will wait till the economy crashes?

Lots of factors go into purchases and finances are relative. But a 10-20k premium is not worth putting off the purchase for me. And I dont know what you think they are going to drop to? And if the economy crashes, is your income fixed? Do you have no worries that the same amount of money comes in so your buying power is equalized? Are you factoring in inflation/hyperinflation?

No thanks. GREAT time to buy one of these cars. IF the market dips. It will recover. They are not making cars like this anymore and I think the value will be held if not continue to appreciate.

Totally agree with the above. My friend has been waiting for the “Rolex bubble” to explode in order to buy a sport SS watch. He is already going on 3 years waiting and the prices keep going up. Actually, it has double or more in the gray market.
