2006 Silver Elise FOR SALE $24,000

For any of you who are interested, my Elise is back on the market again. I can summarize my sale very simply. My Elise had fiberglass/paint and Rim damage (1 rim). I also had to replace a few suspension pieces (with original OEM parts). Some of the fiberglass work is done (in the back) --- and the front clam still has some damage to the teeth and to the bottom under the car. The CARFAX is clean and so is the title. The car still has the original factory warranty. People on forum don't like me too much since i posted a video abusing the car for no good reason...well that's just too bad. A few of them think I should give them the car for less than a few dealers offered to pay me cash; well, that isn't going to happen--so I still have it.

Specs:

2006 Silver Elise w/ touring package
24,000 Miles
Soft top
Hard Top (sold separately)
8-Spoke Rims (one is scraped up pretty badly)
Red Leather ProBax Seats
Read Leather Door Sills
Power Windows/Locks
Mp3 player + upgraded front Speakers to Infiniti Reference
2 keys + 2 remotes + 1 extra unprogrammed remote
New Rear Tires put on 2 weeks ago in the rear

from sector111:
Carbon Fiber GearShift colum
Carbon Fiber Gear Knob
Carbon Fiber Rear Wing
BRAND NEW IN BOX Brake pads, Front and back

$25,000 Cash gets it. $24,999.99 doesn't get it. When its gone its gone! Who ever comes up with the cash first gets the car. I'm not interested in trades anymore either and I'm not parting out anything other than the hardtop.

if you search my username you'll find lots of posts about this car with links to plenty of pictures (including just after the accident the the repair work being done) and lots of messages from the peanut gallery.

this is what it looked like before the accident and when I had illegal tints:

Just a guess that at that price it's cheaper and easier to buy an. Undamaged no stories clean car?

If you got offered that by a dealer.... Take it and run!

Car runs and drives great. The insurance didn't want to total it, instead they wrote me a check and let me keep the car.

Are you still not willing to give out VIN so people can check the carfax?
I'm not posting my VIN #, sorry pal. If to me it looked like you were actually interested in purchasing it I'd give it to you; but just for the sake of giving it to you... you'd probably report it to carfax and tell them about it...so, no soup for you, come back 1 year.

Then you're going to have to take $24,999 or less. It's basically a 'roll your dice, take your chances' car as you present it. Don't be surprised if you don't get much interest from other than afgdevil or wantanelise, or other dreamers. They're talking, but not buying.

Don't want any soup.

Good luck, you've got a very compelling marketing strategy.

BUYER: Are you still not willing to give out VIN so people can check the carfax?
SELLER: I'm not posting my VIN #, sorry pal.

BUYER: uhhh more pics please!!!!!!!
SELLER: like i said, they're ALL in my old threads, just search my name

Hmmm... Im thinking you aren't really that serious about selling your car

If you expect someone to write you a check for 25K, I wouldn't blow people off, or tell them to go searching for information. I don't know anything about you or your car, I just came here looking to buy. If I ask a seller for pics, and they reply with "Like I said.. go search for them" Well...trust me, the only thing I'll go searching for is another Elise.

Wow, if you can't use the search button to find all of the multiple threads about my car then you're an idiot.

Go find another one I don't give a ****. I'm doing you guys a favor selling it to you, you aren't doing me a favor buying it. The last time I posted this for sale here I got a bunch of people who were full of themselves and people who wanted to buy the car for nothing and had quite a bit of comments. I refuse to go much out of of my way at all.

You're absolutely right, I don't care if I blow you guys off, if someone seriously wants to buy the car they would do their research on this forum anyway. I already got high offers from multiple dealers and I decided to ask for just a little bit more to see if I could get it, that's all. You guys are my last attempt to make a quick buck. I already bought my replacement car and believe it or not I'm not desperate for any of your low offers either.

Yes, go look elsewhere; you can buy it from the dealer for a lot more after I sell it to them and they fix it. Once the paint and fiberglass work is fixed it'll probably sell for $10,000 more. I think $35k is about average for a 2006 elise with touring + hardtop + carbon fiber extras.

Your car is very suspicious kid, and your negative attitude just doesn't help to get rid of a suspecious-damaged Lotus.

Maybe you should have the car repaired properly by Lotus dealer, then have a professional sell it for you. My 2 cents.

PS: Most people on this forum are trustworthy, and we should keep the Elisetalk this way.

Yes, I have the documentation from the insurance payout (along with a copy of a check) which I will provide. I also have the paperwork for the repairs for the suspension + the parts. There were no police involved--- and no tickets issued, so it won't show up on carfax.

I dont want your car and I dont want your VIN....but there were people who were willing to buy it last time that you posted but you were not willing to give them your VIN first...

If your insurance cut you a check then the accident would eventually show up on your carfax report, Do you have proof that you reported it to your insurance?

Also, if you "bought you skills on EBAY" then why dont you sell you there on there...

This is the only part of your ad that bothers me, that you are advertising the car as carfax clean, when it's not. It's extremely dishonest and unethical, the car has been in a major accident and that fact SHOULD be reflected in both the carfax and the resale value.

Otherwise some poor sucker is going to end up with the car and who knows what could be wrong with it in 10 miles or 10,000. It's unfortunate that used car dealers do this crap all the time, but I expect a little more out of classifieds on this forum.

No... you're wrong. The car fax is clean when you check it. I am very upfront with everyone here, THE CAR WAS IN AN ACCIDENT and you can look at the pictures of it. What more do you want from me? I'm selling it at $25,000, holy crap, i'll sell it for fifty cents if it'll make you happy.
