Hi all,

Attempting to fit the GRP gated shifter assembly, I've noticed in their instructions the reverse lockout mechanism is remarkably different to the one fitted to my car. The one they shows appears to be a separate wire running down the length of the shifter. Mine appears to be fitted to the shifter itself, running internally down the shift rod. It appears to need 2 flat head screws to loosen it off (although they are absolutely jammed in place). Was wondering if this is correct or if there is another way, currently banging my head against a wall and wondering if need to get a deburring tool to get the screw out.

Kind regards,

Alex

Hey Alex,
Have you tried using a heat gun/hot air to heat around the screws yet? This will usually help substantially in getting the screws to come loose.
