2009 Lotus Exige S260 Sport - Phantom Black - 7,668 miles - never tracked - showroom “Like New” condition
In 2009 only 26 S260 Sports made their way to North America and only two were delivered in Phantom Black. We believe one (VIN# 9-0570) was shipped to Dubai and this one you are looking at is the only remaining example in North America. In 2009, the S260 Sport arrived to North America 50 lb. lighter than a S240 and comfort was not compromised by removal of the passenger seat. Instead, Hans carbon fiber seats were used. Speaking of carbon, the significant diet was allowed by use carbon fiber. The front splitter, roof, rear deck lid cover, front access panels, one-piece dash panel, rear spoiler, side air-intake ducts, and rear tailgate have all been carbon-copied and replaced. Other significant weight savings comes from a lightweight battery, 12-spoke forged alloy wheels, revised rear engine subframe, lighter flywheel, composite bulkhead in place of rear window, alloy supercharger U bend pipes and foot well pads.
This was the quickest Exige to date weighing in at a slim 2,020 pounds. Producing 257hp, this vehicle offers a more agile and track focused drive and is capable of reaching 0-60mph in under 4 seconds and 0-100mph in under 10 seconds. In the driver’s seat you will feel a punchier acceleration and handling that feels lighter than the S240. Adding performance to the lightness of the vehicle with 4-pot AP Racing Calipers, 2 piece rotors and Accusump. The performance gains are impressive and the overall package is second to none. However, this being the only 2009 Exige S260 Sport in Phantom Black in North America, an enthusiast knows that this particular vehicle is a special breed of its own.
We purchased the vehicle from the previous owner along with two keys, all books and a clean title.
