"what the hell is he doing!"
-Kimi, Lap 16

Haha he has the best quotes!! I was happy to see that despite the poor launch and nose damage he still landed on the podium, even if it was 10 secs behind first place. The Vettel/Hamilton finale was exciting, I prefer Vettel over Hamilton, but I wanted Hamilton to pull this one off this time.

After all the crap in the press about what Vettle said before the race (basically saying that yes, I will disobey team orders every time) he's lost of lot to me. I used to really like him but found myself rooting against him hard in this race. That said it did make the finish pretty exciting as he was coming fast.

As a fairly new F1 fan I have to agree with most of you. What Vettel did two races ago was despicable. I too found myself rooting against him in the GP of China.

Awesome race. I can't believe they placed 2nd & 3rd! Whohoo! On a worse note, the word was that Kimi got approached by Red Bull and while not looking to move to another team, he will entertain other offers. I don't much care for his personality but the man consistently produces results for Lotus.

Glad to see Vettel show Alonzo exactly why he world champion in the opening laps. Before the Alonso whining machine could be turned on....

Not glad to see him up on the podium. Not after the bullschit he pulled on his teammate Weber, two races ago.

Kinda S%{*y of Red Bull to throw Kimi's name out there mid season. They are the current reining champs and shouldn't have to resort to creating this kind of distraction. All it can do right now is create tension for the Lotus team. Feels like a low blow to me. Anyone with me on this?

Agreed, a bit of a dick move. However, I think most take it for just that, an attempt to distract the Lotus team internally. Hopefully, everyone at Lotus keeps their eyes on the prize. I will say, part of the problem is financing the team going forward. So, I really hope Lotus keeps the run going and secures at least one more title sponsor before the end of the year.

One of the greatest races I have had the pleasure of watching on television. (I've been in a few, and been at a few that were pretty impressive as well - to me anyway).
I hope we don't lose the Iceman. He seems so Lotus-like. No bull, understated. Just does the job. I raced for years and never "hero-worshiped" but I really admire what Kimi can do.
Love the quote - did anyone else catch it "A large set of attachments!" Classic.

What a great race?! Unfortunately I knew who won the race before I had a chance to watch it. I went out on a MINI spring fling drive with the G/F and during the lunch break I leave to use the bathroom and the first thing she says when I get back is, "Hey Redbull one the Grand Prix today" I was like, "NOOOOOOOO" "Why did you tell me??!!". But Luckily the 2,3 lotus finish was still a surprise to me. Hopefully Gro can keep it up and Kimi doesn't start making plans for greener pastures. Also, what was up with Perez??!

awesome pics!
Thanks!
Here is the Parc Ferme after the race...

Kimi's "play toy"

and the podium...

BTW...I was one of the people standing on the start line as they launched off on their formation lap! That beautiful noise as 22 F-1 cars scream by you in anger is undescribable!
