Honestly all the teams are bleeding, only Ferrari, Red Bull and Mercedes have enough blood to not notice

Renault power systems struggling (including Red Bull) and Lotus not even noting how bad it is while Ferrari and Mercedes are putting on the laps. On top of that rumor that RoGro may leave.

well its only day 2 of testing for 2014, and 2 more days left at jerez... renault will get their issue sorted and those cars will get more laps. no ones going fast.... but data is data. the second week out in bahrain will be a bit more telling. everything is speculation and conjecture at this point.

last years testing was not representative of the season....

Well looks like Lotus F1 Team pulled off a partial coup, getting in 100 km (22 laps) on their Photo day, better than Red Bull achieved in 4 days.

Just dont know what to make of this testing. Renault engines are reported to be down by 100-150 Hp for now and only Caterham is able to run serious laps. Well Lotus just signed their next 4 year engine deal, they probably got a good discounted price by waiting to lack of performance showed up.

The face of 2014 F1: life without Bernie, life without Vettal in front, McLaren and Mercedes duling it out fro first 9at least in 1st race), Caterham scoring points because Red Bull, Lotus and Marussia not being able to finish.

Tony said that this could be the last year for Caterham F1 if they don't do better!
he says that every year, and they never do either....

Geez, last night they couldn't seem to get it together in Melbourne. No times logged and a small fire. Good times! This will be a very interesting season. What if no one can actually finish the race?

I don't think that will be a problem. Merc, Mclaren, and Williams are looking like heavy favorites. Redbull seems to have worked enough bugs out and Riccardo was throwing down some good times. Really the only teams that looked like a mess were Lotus and Caterham.

FYI; Castrol is doing a race prediction promotion (much like the previous Pirelli tire contest) where you can attempt to predict the top 10 finishers and win prizes. That of course assumes that 10 cars finish. Prizes aren't as generous as Pirelli offered but I'd take a new Playstation. Contest restarts at each race. No prize for overall season prediction. You can still enter until 5 minutes before qualification starts (tonite.) Sorry I don't have a link but I'm sure you can Google it...Dave

I will be interesting, regardless of team, long pit stops (such as fixing wing), will lead to engine overheating, gravel engine overheating, parade lap.. start formation.. engine overheating..... will be interesting.. watchi.g live. I won't sleep anyways waiting to watch on dvr

Granted the Lotus F1 performance left a lot to be desired . Being a class II team without the resources to compete makes it tough. Last year was an overachievement for them. Anyway running 40+ laps will help gain some insight into the car, hopefully they can get back on track. RG is a great driver and if he has even a decent car can be competitive. Kimi did not do too much better with Ferrari (and their $400 million budget). I am a huge Kimi fan dating back to his McLaren days. But he had equipment problems too.

With that said, you have got to love Kevin Magnussen for McLaren. This kid is the real deal. I am really excited to watch him race this season.
