2014's sexiest car of the year is... lotus yellow!

seriously, you would think the editor in chief would be able to present the car in a better contrasting area, rather than have all the yellow taxi's around when she did it. i could not help but think, man, that is an ugly color on that car. not sexy at all. a different setting would have been sooo much better. i'm sure it looks good normally, but just not like this...

I've never heard of "corvette red". The classic color scheme for 'vettes is white with a red interior, based on the original '53 - no?

Red has been the most popular color corvettes over the years until recently black.

and as for lotus yellow. look at the lotus badge and wheel caps. what color are they?
when you go to a car show and you see a huge lotus sign hanging from the rafters,... what color is it? red?

The badge yellow is not Lotus Yellow.

I think the original Lotus Yellow was used on Series 2 Europas in the '70's. Lotus Yellow (2) was used on Esprits from '88-'91, maybe '93.

I say its the badge color since that is on all of their marketing material.

I'm going by the parts lists, which have the actual name of the colors the cars were painted in. Just like Elises are Solar Yellow and Bordeaux Red, etc. etc. The official name of the color my car is painted is Lotus Yellow (2), and it is nothing like the badge color. I'm pretty sure the badge color is Norfolk Yellow, which was also a paint color in the mid '90's.

As much as I love new Vette - can't believe I just said that - I prefer it in darker colors. Specifically that charcoal grey.

On a separate note - the news anchor. That's Zoraida Sambolin. She just joined CNN from NBC in Chicago. My offices were right there and I used to see her in the Starbucks all the time. VERY VERY nice.

Oh and just googled - she's 48. Looking incredible for 48.
