First off, ZERO affiliation with this place. I'm NOT a Chevy guy. So I was doing my weekly google "Lotus for sale" search, to see what's new out there for sale (I'm sure I'm not alone in this) and what comes up for sale, but this...

A little over 2,000 miles, Formula Red, pretty standard car. Then I notice where it's at? Sellersville?!! 😳 It's like 40 minutes from me, and not far from the Ford dealer I used to work for. So I decided to head up there Wednesday afternoon, on my way back home, from picking up more of my diecasts I am selling.

I went for several reasons. First, to see the color. Never saw Formula Red in person. It's actually a really cool color red. Really stands out. Also wanted to see the condition (in case anyone on here is looking for a GT and wasn't close by). Car is VERY CLEAN! Checked under the nose to feel for any scraping. None. Still had the rear bumperettes on, and I believe the 3rd cat is still on it (looked like it was still there). A very well described car. Price seems fair for a '21 manual in a standard color.

Then I had a salesperson come by to ask if I had questions. Gotta be honest, being I was in the business for 23 years, I was expecting someone to TOTALLY BS the conversation about the car (because most car salespeople are NOT car people), but he generally was a nice guy. Asked him what it was traded in for. My guess was a Z06 and I was right (what they sold the Z06 for was just πŸ˜±πŸ˜±πŸ˜±πŸ˜±πŸ˜±πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™‚οΈπŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™‚οΈπŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™‚οΈπŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™‚οΈπŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ). The price...$72,000 OVER MSRP!!!!

He seemed interested to learn what I told him. Asked if it came with the battery tender. He tried to pop the hatch from a button above the license plate 🀣. I showed him how (car was unlocked and I opened the door and hit the button). I opened the hatch & everything was there. Books, radio manual, tow hook, wheel lug key, and the newer tender in the Lotus soft case. I asked, how long has it been inside? He said a week (unplugged). I told him, to get it on the tender ASAP or it will be dead in a few days (especially with people opening the doors and such). Hope he told the powers to be to connect it (leads were already on the battery and ready to go). He did ask how I knew so much about the car, so I showed him a pic of my wife's GT. Then he got it. Also told him just how rare the car is (722 made in 2 years with 535 if those manual).

Don't know how long it will last, but overall, it's a clean car for someone who wants one. Just wanted to share with the site. πŸ‘πŸ‘
