Just wondering if you guys have any thoughts on a 205/45R16 tire in the front for an LSS-equipped vehicle (as a replacement tire)?

The choices for 195/50R16 tires seems limited in North America and I'm not sure how well the A048s will hold up as an everyday tire (though I just read in another thread that some are projecting 10K miles)

I was wondering about, say, the Michelin Pilot Exalto PE2 in:
205/45R16 F
225/45R17 R

I've also read about how the front tire size change from non-sport to sport models decreases the understeer tendancies. Would going to a 205 section tire affect the handling more?

Update - Michelin to offer OEM sizes

Just an update for anyone who is a Michelin fan or is interested in the Pilot Exalto PE2, the spec sheet PDF at michelinman.com says that the tire will be available in the OEM 195/50R16 size in Q4 or this year.

The Toyo T1-S comes in the LSS OE sizes, 195/50-16 and 225/45-17.

The Goodyear F1 GS-D3 comes in 195/45-16 or 205/45-16, and
225/45-17.

The Dunlop SP9000 also comes in 205/45-16 and 225/45-17.

stick with 195/50s - even they can rub the wheel arch liners away and the rear of the headlights ! 205's will be too wide....and probably give too much front end grip

Yes. And Hoosier 205s are very wide.

We do have rubbing marks on inside wheel wells. I will post a pic. It looks like it only happens on full lock and not during competition.

Why not mount a ChaseCam on the control arm so you can drive around and see what/when it rubs?
