Hey all, I can't tell through looking at threads. Sounds like TomR regretted getting 225s.

So - anyone running 245/40-17 a7s under an Elise?

Hmm, the a7 does not appear to come in a 235. I'm asking specifically about the Hoosier A7; I know Hoosier A6s in 245/40-17, as well as many other 245/40-17 fit just fine.

However, the Hoosier a7 "grew" relative to the a6; a7s tend to be comparatively larger than a6s, despite being the "same size."

So - have you run *Hoosier A7s* in 245/40-17 with only minor rubbing?

Thanks!

I have a 211, so not exactly the same but I'm running Ethos wheels with Hoosier A7's:
205/45zr16
245/40zr17

They are wider than the A6's for sure.

I ended up getting 225 A7s, but I just met a guy with an Exige with 245 A7s on Ethos wheels that seemed to fit without rubbing. He was on Penske DAs. Handled AutoX duty without any issues.

I am running 245 R7 on my exige with the TD1.2 wheels from BWR and 2 large BWR spacers. It fits in all but the worst bumps where the tire hits the front inside of the frame. I will be taking out some camber in the rear to help with this and with tire wear. At 2.3 degrees now I think.

Yeah, the BWR spec Bogarts really make the most of the available space. I'm running -3.5ish in the rear and they rub a fare amount. Never noticed any drawback to the rubbing though. Who cares if there are marks on the frame?

Just put the A7s on the car. SSRs, 16x6.5/17x7.5 with max-allowable spacer, 2.2ish degrees negative camber, toed in 3/16", plenty of room. One of my rear fender liners is chewed up from who knows what, the tire grazes that, but if it were in normal shape, no problems. I put a fair bit of load on the tires driving around, certainly not as much as they'll see at an event, but no weird noises/issues.

245/50-17 A7s fit, by my definition. Elise, stock bodywork, stock ride height, LSS springs.

Thanks!
