Ara .. it was the same dyno that was used to measure my stock Cup255 (226 rwhp) and the other stock Cup car with a low 211 rwhp HP that was transformed by Sir Charles.
do you know what an elise pulls on that dyno?
That was an interesting drive home, wild sand storms through the desert..dyno from today, 2.7 pulley. couple of dips to tidy up.
aj's car.
Here the car with the previous tune(10 less hp, a bit less topend), air to air IC instead of air to water.....The car drove great, I'll be driving it around tomorrow in its current state to see how it does.Well? So how is it to drive? These cars are fun stock but they lack the midrange that make cars like the evo intoxicatingly fun to drive. If I do decide to get an elise/exige, I really would like a turbo since it should improve midrange. I've driven a bmr supercharged car and the engine characteristics were way too close to stock...no midrange and slightly improved top end.
indeedyou know i want a ride aj!! good job charlie
Same Monkey Wrench Race motor from a year ago. I've only changed to a charge cooling setup....all the crap from the track mods thread.Good job Charlie--- I just did a simple overlay on p shop. My proportions are obviously slightly off giving AJ's pull a bit of an advantage... Pretty even though... Looks like you've got an excellent handle on the timing and VVTL in the mid range- better than mine...
This is my normal 91 tune on my TVS car with a 3.55" pulley with 9:1 compression and 10.9 psi peak boost... Looks like I have little more work to do in the mid range. Doing good on the low range and top end though comparatively...
Is AJ running stock compression or something else?
Glad to finally see some dyno jet numbers again
Later,
Phil
See above, 91 pumpAJ/Charlie is that using stock pistons? Is that on 91 oct pump gas?
Rob.
Mahle's with Darton Sleeves and all the other goodies, same exact spec as Franks first motor.Probably Wiseco if sleeved, I would think? Glad it wasn't stock pistons, should be a good track monster, can't wait for the track data.
I have a 2.5" FF pully if you want to try for 300 wHP pending your air charge temps.
HAvnt scaled it yet. Its only 5-10 more hp than I had before but should maintain that continuously now and not heatsoak. Also a good bit smoother tune than before with a bit more on the top end. Some of these tracks are really flat... I thought ours was fairly flat, but that speed way setup is like MAM... Still looks pretty fun though...
Good luck with setup AJ. You'll enjoy the power. It makes a nice difference:up: How much is your car weighing now with all the extra goodies?
Best,
Phil
