That's an ~8g lateral g swing in less than a second, and a -1.4 vertical g swing... at over 193 mph, under well over a ton of downforce. Flat out. What a ride that must be! :shift:

Try to pick them up on the front straight...

My favourite Eau Rouge picture: first lap of the 1000 km sports car race in 1970. Jo Siffert (#24) squeezing past pole sitter Pedro Rodriguez entering Eau Rouge. Siffert won the race.

Awesome shot, Michael! Remember Villeneuve sideways?

Unfortunately not, Alan. :(

I have to save some money for my US trip in October. :)
Yes, do try and make it down to LA - otherwise, I'll do my best to take a ride up the coast. Beer's on me! :)

Ya know...I'm going to say that one of the numbers up there is wrong. I think the vertical g's on the exit should be +1.4, not negative. They are, after all, going up hill. I think it was a misprint in the magazine. So if that's true, that would make it a 2.2 vertical g shift, combined with the ~8g lateral shift in less than a second.
