Stop me if you’ve heard this one before...

I’m getting initial slippage in 4th gear under hard acceleration. It was happening almost every time yesterday despite very deliberate gear changes and short shifting (7000 rpm).

It happened once at the end of last season. I mistook it for a worn clutch and had it replaced with the ACT HD unit. This is a new clutch/flywheel with 500 miles.

Not 100% certain but I seem to recall that the 07's and up had a valve in the clutch line that slowed the engagement. This was a safety item to protect the clutch and transmission. Maybe that valve is failing. If this is the case maybe just remove it and re-bleed the clutch line. Tommy

I knew there was some driveline protective mechanism....
If I recall, some guys remove it?

You can test for clutch slipping easy enough, just rev up the engine in 5th and let out the clutch quick to see how fast it spins down.

Burning up a clutch in 500 track miles would be fast, but not impossible.

I added a clutch delay valve to my 07 and things have been MUCH healthier since, I would not remove it, but maybe the stock one is too much delay...
