A drop-head Coupe is a convertible, but a convertible isn't necessarily a DHC. The S1 and S2 Elan soft-tops were Roadsters.

Agreed. The S3 and S4 Elans, like the one shown in the original post, are DHC's.

All S3s and S4s are based on the coupe body, the early roadsters do not have a tray accross the back of the cabin. Basicly a sawed of top and modified wind screen make it a drophead coupe.
