Just acquired an '88 Esprit Turbo. Seller didn't get an owner's manual from the previous owner, and my searches for one online haven't yielded anything. I do have the 1,000+ page service manual, which is an incredible resource, but I was hoping there might be a "quick start" guide. Things like location of the dipstick, radiator cap, etc. are hard to find in the service manual.

Thanks!

I have a digital copy online from my late 88. Will send link to photobucket.com or can zip and have you download from Google drive.

Great, I'm sure there are differences here and there, but the general location of things should be the same. Chargercooler could be the biggest difference if yours has one.

I'm new to the forum--can one send private messages? I'd give my email for to use in sending a link to the document, but I'd rather not post it publicly. Thanks for your help.

Thanks, Eddie. I responded to this a few days ago but it appears to have not shown up. I had asked if you needed alternate contact info, or if you could post the link here. Thanks in advance!

Sorry for delay - Photobucket.com cancelled my free account (long story) and I had to search through 16TB of drives to find the scanned photos.
PM me your email address and I will send you a link to download a zip file.

Just found a manual for your 88. Check out books4cars.com. A bit pricey at $179.95.
Good luck.

BWAHAHA! I just realized I have my original driver hand book after my late 88 was totalled.

I’ll sell it for $200 with the as new binder as well as the addendums.

Just kidding. I may sell it but see what’s a more realistic price. After seeing original tool kits go for $500, I may be sitting on a gold mine.

(FYI. Everything above is tongue-in-cheek)

Welcome.

I can't even move the seat, lol
There is a release 'bar' under the front cushion that allows the seat to move fore and aft.

On the 88+, there is a knob on the outer side of the seat that adjusts seatback rake.

Of course, a previous tall owner could have bolted the seats directly to the floor pan...If this happened, hopefully they gave you the seat rails. If not, see if Slava81 on eBay (ExoticSalvage.com) has the rails.
