Wow. Just wow. What do you guys think of this?

I saw these comments on page 55 of the "funniest comment" thread:
http://www.lotustalk.com/forums/f3/what-funniest-most-stupid-comment-you-ever-got-part-2-a-54277/index55.html

i dont care if this offends anyone but 90% of bike riders i encounter are fcukin douche bags!!!

they think their $8k crotch rocket is the shizzle, of course it fast, you also die a lot faster if you ride one

idiots i tell ya
I hope that all the bikers on here are in the other 10%, cause I'm one of them :p

That'd be like us saying 90% of car guys that don't (can't) ride bikes talk sh*t because they're really just scared little girls and need the extra two (training) wheels for balance :)
naw us guys on "training wheels" just value our lives just a bit more... :p
bikers can hate all they want... I'll be the one laughing when I get a shiny new vital organ from their macho carcass :D

Wow so you're saying we're not part of the other 10% and that we value our lives less than you value yours?

Must be rough living life with your dick in a jar. rotfl

I can only imagine what all the bikers are going to have to say about your comments :) maybe I'll start a thread and find out.

Then again, I just think you're saying that to make yourself feel better since you can't ride so I'll cut you some slack and consider you self-handicapped.

^^^ Haven't you ever met someone who's been riding for 10, 15, 20 years?

I have repeated joked here that cars are just "motorcycles with training wheels".

I also had this advice for a fellow motorcycle track day enthusiast who wanted to know how the Lotus compares:
The handling of a car, even this Lotus, feels very two-dimensional compared to the three dimensional feel of a motorcycle. The lean of the motorcycle leaves the cars feeling flat, literally. The handling of the motorcycle is much more dynamic - not just the lean angle, it's also the difference shifting your weight makes leaning forward and back, and the fact that you control front and rear breaking independently. Plus, nothing can compare to the visceral feeling of dragging a knee through a turn.
I met FLuXeXigeS at a meet in California last fall. I guess I'd like to know what experiences have led him to have such a strong negative impression. I apologize if I have come off as a douchebag.

Guys on sport bikes are cool and wave probably 25% of the time. The guy's on harleys are pseudo-hell's angels and have a chip on their shoulder from my experience.

I've never understood blanket statements like this. In the last year, I've seriously looked at everything from a sport bike, BMW bike, Harley, Porsche, Z06 and Viper, as well as an Atom and Noble. Other than being indecisive, what does that make me? I think the're all cool and I'd drive/ride any of them.

Of course, I am kind of a douche bag.

When people make blanket statements they don't literally mean each and every person is that way, but in general it holds true. Should parents buy their 16 year old kids elises? Of course not, they'll wrap themselves around a tree...but not ALL 16 year old kids would do so, but generally speaking, a large majority of them will. People utilize stereotypes all the time and for good reasons; it's protectionary and engrained into us for survival. We make decisions about places/people/things by analyzing information from previous encounters of similar people/situations. We ALL stereotype.

So when I say that guys on harleys act like they're pseudo-hell's angels surely not ALL of them do, but rather a good amount in my area.

Hey, little buddy! [Said to come off as less of a douchebag]

With those center of gravity issues you have, I don't recommend using much lean angle if you decide to get a cycle.

I will say it's not just limited to Lotustalkers. If your a BMW guy, generally there's no way you'd drive a Viper. If your a Ducati man, you hold your nose whenever a Harley drives by.

I'm more in the mold of Jay Leno. I love them all.

I just have a whole lot less money.

Oh, and there is that center of gravity thing.
