Has anyone successfully removed the AC unit with all cables etc ?
Is it hard to do this ?

What is the weight saving ? I have heard numbers ranging from 22lbs up to 66lbs.

If your car already has AC it would be easier to loose weight other ways.

Maybe a light weight battery and light weight rims to start...

I think he simply took the average of the 2 figures I gave in my first post
No, I weighed a box full of every piece I took out pertaining to the AC. From the factory the weight loss isn't as significant since there is still the blower motor, ducting, and switching. If you just remove the compressor, condensor, & plumbing, its in the mid 20lb range. Search and you will find. I think sleepless was detailed with his weightloss. I stopped counting lbs and just removed everthing out of the car. I'm only putting back in what is needed to drive.
