I've been waiting to put my splitter on. Want to get the road gravel off the roads first. That single stripe is fantastic! Actually makes the center "pillar" of the front clam and the crease in the center of the hardtop look like a secondary stripe.

Hey Vampyre,
I love the look of that splitter, very interested in getting one for my car.
I do not like wings/spoilers in the back of the Elise.
Wondering if you notice any bad handling characteristics just driving around and at highway speeds with just the front splitter?

NSR - Mine seems to handle very stably @ 100mph+, with this rear diffuser.
I've never driven it with the splitter and without the diffuser, so I couldn't answer that.

To me the splitter protects the clam and is worth the crruuunnnnch that you get.

We tore the hell out of ours, with the bottom portion finally separating from the top. Now Worries, though, because the $400 splitter saved a $5000 clam. Sounds like good math.

FWIW, I think I can feel the downforce at speed with it on there. Looks cool too:

Thanks for the info Oliver.
Pardon the pun but that rear end looks badass!
Makes it look really aggressive.

I REALLY like those splitters on the Elise, but I can't stand the black plastic grills in those front openings. The Exige, with it's mesh replacements, look SO MUCH better. Just my 2 cents...

Everyone agrees with you on that...except my wife...

We only buy mods she approves... and that we have excess cash for... It sounds really constricting, but I am driving an Elise with a lot of CF and other goodies, so I can't really bitch. Grills is the only thing she's balked on so far. Well, grills and 5 point harnesses. Something about "I'm not driving with the top off in a car that low to the ground in a skirt pushed up so far up my...."

I'm hoping to "catch a squirrel" like the guy in that other thread and therefore necessitate the need to get rid of the plastic.
