Does anyone know what kind of adhesive is used for the side scoop (side air inlet) trim pieces? These are the crescent shaped black trim pieces next to the side slats.

I removed mine and some of the adhesive removed itself. Need to put a new bead of adhesive in the groove to make it stick well. It's a very sticky adhesive that never fully hardens but removes very easily when heat is applied. I've heard some people say to use RTV but that doesn't seem to be the best solution.

Dang 3M makes a lot of them. Kind of a crap-shoot which one to get. I'd like to be able to remove them again if they needed replacement for some reason. A lot of those look like they'll get rock hard.

3M Super weatherstrip adhesive. BLACK, not yellow.

But, follow the directions, which require you to wait "several minutes" for each surface to get tacky.

Also as Napa 4051 Super WA.

(I think Roaddad once cited a product Lotus said to use...)
