I've been having my 05 Elise for 8 months now.
In that time I've managed to put all of 5000 miles on her. I have an astounding 16k (and some change) miles on the car now.

Congratulatons me! I paid her off yesterday and have clear title.

I really like this car. Never have I driven anything that makes you feel like you're in a formula one race car. I don't think I could ever go back to a Corvette.

Anyways, I'm putting new tires on the front next week.
Im going with Falkens since I do not race the car, nor do I tear her up.
I'm going to change the brake pads while the wheels are off.

Can someone direct me to a source where I can purchase brake pads at a reasonable price?
It's a loaded 05 Elise, with sport pack.

Thanks in advance.

I think he's looking for user feedback as well. If you don't have any knowledge on the subject, maybe you should not post.

I'm still on stock pads and rotors so I do not have any advice to offer. I have 27,000 miles on my pads. I planned on checking them the next oil change.

Cheers on owning her outright.

RockAuto has pads for about $60 an axle...

2005 LOTUS ELISE 1.8L 1795cc L4 FI [2ZZGE] :
CENTRIC Part # 10004911 More Info {Original Equipment Formula}
Rear
$62.79

CENTRIC Part # 10001090 More Info {Original Equipment Formula}
Front
$62.79

That's compared to $237.03 from the dealer for the front set.
