I wonder if the Fed Elise also uses the AC unit from Toyota, I can't finy any reason that it is not since we are getting the Toyota drivetrain. From my experience, the Toyota AC is known to be very reliable and still blow ice cold even on a 20 year old car with 300k miles. This is not my concern but I hope I am getting that Toyota AC for my Elise. :)

what was that old bumper sticker? why do the british drink warm beer? lucas makes refrigerators

i know i know the beer is not cold...it was, though, a bumper sticker

A/C compressor is most likely delivered pre-installed on the engine by Toyota to Lotus. So in all likelyhood it;s the same as used on current toyota models.

The rest of the system (evaporator, dryer, condensor) porbably has little or no Toyota connection.
