-that's what I'm screaming

and the number one most annoying catch phrase of all time and sure to be without peer until the end of time:

-been there done that (bought the t-shirt) the t-shirt part is pretty rare these days, but it is still uttered on occasion.

In harm's way is definitely getting a lot of press... but it's not exactly a new catch phrase.

Listen to a sports game or commentary and you will hear plenty of cliches like:

get in a rhythm
most underrated player
quarterback controversy
bring it
step up (guaranteed to hear if star players are injured)

Probably worse are player interviews. They usually all say the same thing. Things like:

do the best we can
110%
play harder
you know what i'm sayin'?
step up

dont forget those brilliant keys to victory. 1 we need to limit turnovers. 2 we need to control the line. 3 we need to score early. 4 we need to control the clock

It was also a mediocre WWII movie with Kirk Douglas and John Wayne.

Those are all annoying but the ones uttered in staff meetings as part of rhetoric take the taco:

--vis a vie
--our mandate is
--mission statement
list goes on.

'Cool beans' has got to be one of the most stupid ever.
'Blazing Saddle's' where they were sitting around the campfire eating beans... funny.

Anything over 100%.

Basketball foul shots:

Team gets to "take points off the board". No.

"My bad"

BTW, no issue at all for me with "harm's way". It's even a bit elegant.
