Anybody know anything about the 2buler QP system. I don't track the '07 Exige and don't want to use earplugs. According to Jim's site, QP stands for Quiet Performance. My perfect exhaust would be stock looking but throaty(?) at idle and quiet at 8K RPM. He also offers a "ROAD" exhaust. Anybody know of this system? Don't want to modify the rear end in any way.

I've read and experienced Jim's (2buler) non-responsiveness. Has anybody ordered and received a system to their satisfaction recently(last 6 months)?

I've seen all the youtube videos on 2buler, but a poor way of truly know what they sound like.

I have the first QP on my n/a elise 111r. The sound is 'dark' and i do not need earplugs for the exhaust (just the wind). No burbles except for the first mile. It is louder than stock though as i found it on the limit on a noise regulated track. (i have 4-2-1, 200cell cat, big QP box). In my second year with it and happy about it. Texting/calling jim helps if contact is established.

I just got off the phone with Jim at 2buler and decided to go with the 'Road Exhaust' that is 8" x 22".

BTW, I was not able to communicate with Jim using his email or website. I was told the best way to get
a hold of him is to call around 5pm London time. I live in the states so I wasn't crazy about burning money by calling international and play phone tag.

I called around 5pm and he picked up! We discussed what I was looking for and decided on the 'Road Exhaust'.
He said that's the most popular with the Exige (2007) SC owners. During the discussion, he said he's been concentrating on getting out orders for the V6 owners. He's going to now switch to the s2 orders and told me he'll be able to get to mine around the 11th. We'll see

Well, don't be surprised if it takes a little while. Jim's delivery times are iffy, but he will deliver a good product. With mine, I found loudness to be a bigger function of if you have a catalytic converter - its definitely louder if you take the cat off (which is likely difficult in CO anyway)

Hmm, I had taken off the cat on my 1982 320i years ago and found the loudness increased quit-a-bit. Thinking the same would be the case in decating the Exige, I was expecting a difference. I can hardly tell any difference. Although, I think maybe it is a LITTLE louder(?) between 7 to 8K RPM. I suppose the way they were made back in the 80's is a lot different than in mid-2000.

Jim said it would be louder with the decat. Wouldn't think it would be that much louder, but we'll see. It it's too loud, I'll go back to the cat pipe.

my experience is that my 2bular exhaust was significantly louder with a decat. Perhaps the way you use your car, you will perceive otherwise.

Experience with 2bular QP vs. 8x22 ??? Which one is quieter?

I have mounted the 8x22 on a 2-ZZGE engine with supecharger on 2005 elise.
For my taste it is too loud, especially in the critical 3000-4000 rpm area (drone region).
Other might like it, but i use the elise also for long trips in the mountains...

As long as its cold, everything is ok, when it gets hot it gets loud.

I hope to find a quieter exhaust in the QP system. Anybody experience with that comparison??
