I have a car with an aluminum oil pan that has a stripped thread. I used the Time-Sert thread repair and installed a Fumoto valve thinking that the problem is solved but unfortunately it is still leaking.

Does anybody know of a good mechanic that can repair the thread that already has a Time-Sert repair done in the Northern/Central NJ area? Thanks.

Thanks everyone. This is not for my Lotus though but in this case it doesn't really matter.

The guys here at Chester Auto Repair are very good, btw. Race motorcycles and one guy built a very nice Cobra replica.

I know this isn't for a British car, but can't help but quote Peter Egan.

"In England, fluid containment is an inexact science."
