+1 on the scratches.
After owning two airplanes with plastic windshields, all I can say is I would never want one on a street car. Anything that rubs on or touches them leaves scratches. In fact I can't think anything that doesn't scratch them! I have spent countless hours buffing hazing and scratches out of my airplane windows and hated every minute of it. I can't even imagine what would happen if you tried to use a windshield wiper on one.
