I know there were a few individuals making CF parts at one point, but is there anyone who still makes custom CF parts for a reasonable price? I have a piece I was making to hold my gauges, and was hoping to get it made out of carbon fiber.

Any recommendations?

hkfever and itsalotawrk both do this. HK is in China and Itsalotawrk is in California

HK is a middleman for a composites production facility in China, so he only deals with volume parts; I wouldn't bother contacting him. An alternative to itslotawrk would be Chuggles, but I know that he's been pretty bogged down with his other projects lately; it's still worth contacting him about it, though.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll send some emails as soon as I can get the car started up with the AEM :D

You are right. We only make mould that will long lasting and can with stand high heat and pressure. In other word, means expensive :D

If it's just the flat piece in the picture under the gauge pods, it would be a fun DIY project. pm me if you need help. Very easy, anyone can do it

No actually I was looking to get the entire thing in one piece so the black cups are cf too and it looks like one clean piece.

The last guy (local) I had tried to make it ended up destroying it to make it, and then it came out really bad; I could have made better myself blindfolded
So now I have to try and remake it this weekend. Then I'll start sending emails and get it made.

Might be a part others would be interested in buying too. I didn't really like the center divider type gauge holder (cant really see them), and never used the space below the passenger airbag, so it will be holding my gauges (and maybe some switches) in that space.

Gauges will actually sit on top of the black cups though, as the AEM gauges I ended up going with would only fit that way:

i've been doing some fiberglass work and recently got a roll or aeronautical grade carbon fiber. I'd be interested in trying out some projects.

if all you need is a flat piece, that should be a cinch! i'd just need precise measurements or a template.

I was actually looking to get the entire piece as one in carbon fiber. The 3 cups that stick out are just plastic glued on in the right position on top of a cf vinyl wrapped piece of metal. Actually had to redo the piece, so currently its just plastic on metal.

Still looking to get the whole piece made, as well as a cheap set of CF engine covers though, if anyone out there has some time? :)
