It's a "speed trap" locating software. It uses user data to populate a map with various traps in your area. There are a few categories for various trap types you can turn on and off.
The locations are "weighted" according to user input, so you can filter by green/yellow/red, green being a non confirmed location and red being one confirmed by enough to make it very legit.
I'm not sure how long a trap will stay on the map if no user data is input from the trapster community in a certain amount of time, but that would be nice as well.
I installed it and went and looked around the map, the 4 "traps" i know of, were all represented so that's good.
It also has "groups" you can join...so maybe it would be cool if there was a Southern California Group...or whatever.
ANYWAYS...seems like a good app, I'll be using it here soon. Let me/us know if you use it and what to look out for, etc. And remember it's only as accurate if people use it, so start using it so I can stop getting pulled over. ;-D
