Mr.Atwell sent me a CD all the way from NewJersy!
I am just a stranger to him.
We have a car in common.. an only interest.
It cost him effort and money.
I am so touched. I Am an emotional man and I have stated that on this forum.
A gift at times and not so much. Can't help it.
I wish to Thank this Man openly as I have not run into many like him.
My diss appointment precludes his CD and offering...
****e... Do so many great people you meet live so far away?
I thought he was from Calgary and we could hook up.
Sigh.
Thanks Atwell ..very much.
Btw - my lap top died this evening and Im doing this on the iPhone .

I second that emotion!
The "Man from LEO" is all you think he is and more.
We are very fortunate to have him in the New Jersey area.

Atwell? the wingman?
I will never forget what he did to me...... he hooked me up with Dave Simkin (lotus) to fixed my car.
Same....I don't know him then. He's a true lotus enthusiast & gentleman.

We need a new US president.....
I will vote for him if he runs.

<BLUSH>

I could never be happy as President.

First of all, they don't let Da Prez DRIVE. Limos? I think, NOT.

But the biggest factor is: Air Force One has WINGS! :facepalm
Nope, not for me.

Atwell helped me out immensely with my Esprit as well. He mailed me a CD and has been a great source of knowledge. I definitely credit him with assisting me getting my car getting back on the road and running well.

Thanks Atwell!

BTW my car came with an SE wing, but I am not putting it on.

I love Atwell. Not only did he drive ~7 hours just to help me figure out S2Mikey's no start condition, but he has a great sense of humor and an AMAZING mustache.

Nice, a fellow mo-bro!

I feel having a large mustache and driving a "vintage" Lotus should go hand and hand. Of the compliments I have gotten for the lotus so far, my favorite was "Man that is an awesome car, and nice mustache!"

Lets see...Atwell.....hmmm..... I *might* have ruin into him somewhere.

Oh wait, yeah, he helped my DUMBA$$ figure out my car which ended up being something incredibly stoopid on my part.

What can ya say? I hope my daughters find a guy like him to marry someday. Then, I know they'l have a Lotus Esprit too.

Too far away to know Atwell, but he sounds like a prince.

Certainly not to steal any of that thunder, but I have had similar encounters with otherwise unknown LT members who were extremely generous. A few years ago a guy who's name I can't remember had paid for a Lotus track day at Blackhawk and couldn't attend, so he posted it here. When I asked how much he wanted for the event he said it was mine for the taking, and would not accept even partial payment. I in turn offered it to my then college aged son and I let him drive my Elise for the time of his life.

What goes around comes around thanks to people like Atwell!

Blackhawk is a FUN track, The Lotus Owners Gathering track day was there in 2002.

That was the year Metz (LotuSport) and I got a whole group of Lotus drivers lost 'cause they were following us. :D :facepalm

But at least we found Hainesville: ;)
