Finally got my hands on the autoexpress that came out a couple weeks ago. Shows the same config as in the autocar article as well as a single pipe setup as well.

Chris, thanks for posting it up. Guess I'd vote for dual tips. Realize it's a test mule, but the engine bay pic looks like they did away with the trunk, hope it 's not too tight a fit with one.

HI Larry,
I like the twin pipes too, just hope they go for larger dia. tips, looks kind of wimpy as it is.

I'm pretty sure the engine shot is just a stock photo of the engine. I don't think Lotus would let a camera get close enough to a test car to get that shot.

HI Randy,
The caption is in lower left pic is "central exhaust pipe has appeared at the rear" and the right "new 2.2 VVTI engine meets US emission rules" As has been discussed here and in other forums, they claim the 2.2 litre engine (no longer sold in the US, now a 2.4) is the one to go in the US Elise. Almost universally this is seen as wrong.
