BAC Mono 01 - Have you seen this car? I want one.
Just saw this (car known as a Mono made by BAC) on a TV show called Tech Toys 360. 1200 lbs, 280 HP 4-cylinder, 0-60 in 2.8 secs! Plus it looks bad-ass. Best part is they said it was road legal in the US. Here's the link. One downside is there is only one seat.

Shinoo assembles/sells the Mono. That was Shinoo sitting beside the partially completed car and talking about it. Go to the Sector 111 website for some more info.
I've seen Shinoo's Mono up close and personal at Sector 111. Absolutely gorgeous and such a thrill ride. Side bar...Shinoo and his guys at S111 are awesome!!!
That's not a downside at all !One downside is there is only one seat.
To me the only downside is the price tag.
£110.000 for a well spec'ed Mono + 20% VAT or whatever tax you gotta pay when it's shipped to your country, so that's £130.000 to your door, or about 215.000$ at today's exchange rate, and it comes in a box (or several boxes for that matter)
No matter how great the experience must be, that kind of money opens many doors in the car world.
I'd get a 458 for that price.
Or a used R8 V10 6MT + a track only Exige and some spare for vacacion.
Still, would love to try one, one day maybe.

Damn, I had no idea these had gotten so expensive. When they came out last year (or so) they were advertising them at £60.000. I guess I can stop lusting after them now.

The Mono is an amazing car. I went to see Sector111's first one when they showed it at Suspension Performance in Mountain View. My Facebook profile pic is now me sitting in it.
I think we're safe then. They sold more Stingray in its first week of existence than they will ever produce Mono.You know like the new Stingray if they become too popular right off the bat Sector will tag another $10K on top of it...I wish I was a millionaire I'd buy one although I would prefer a 2 seater!!
A 2 seater and a good match for that would maybe be the Atom 500.
But if I was a (multi)millionaire, I think I have a 3 seater in mind

Tech Toys 360 is one of the coolest shows on tv. Just awesome 'guy stuff'
I also enjoy the shows on Wealth TV including Boys Toys and Full Throttle. The huge hootered blonde host makes it enjoyable (Shinoo had a nice fun with her in their Atom). Her voice however is nails on a chalkboard and she often murders 'car terms'. I once heard her say 'Alfa Romero' and just yesterday on 'Wealth On Wheels' she talked about the 918's performance on the Nuremberg Circuit. Apparently, it's an amazing hypercar that can also try Nazi war criminals!!!
