I took a drive and when I got back, after attaching the battery tender, I noticed that it was not charging. I eventually diagnosed an open connection within the charging cable. In diagnosing things, I detached and re-attached both the ground and positive cables to the battery. Rather than fix it tonight, I took another battery charger (not tender) and attached it across the battery. Two red LEDs now appear lit on the right of the GARW, but the main graphic display is not visible. The car starts and runs fine. The voltage across the battery is now 14V while charging.

Any idea why the GARW is only half working, and what I can do to bring it back to life?

You will have to cycle power to the display. This is a common problem with the dash. The smart thing to do is install a switch that allows you to cycle power to the dash.

I have exactly the same problem with my Garw and batter tender. So, how to install a switch to cycle power the Garw? Just a switch on the power line ?
