Many years ago we started a 1965 Plymouth Satellite, auto transmission, by having a random fellow at an Interstate rest stop push us up to 55 mph. New Year's Eve, champaign bottles in the floorboards, a girl I just met us on the way cross state for additional party favors.

When I slipped the trans from neutral to drive I had no idea what would happen. But it just quietly came to life and we continued on our demented way.

Those were the days.

You could always bump start it in reverse on the driveway, or if you're really adventurous, you could do it on its way off the trailer.-eek-
Probably wouldn't work since you need some voltage to run the ignition and the alternator won't be spinning fast enough to supply anything.

Had a battery die at VIR a few years ago. My son had to push us on level ground to start for every run group.

As we would roll past the BMW guys I would ask why they did not have to push their cars.
